The preschoolers spent this week traveling around outer space.  They started the unit by making astronaut helmets and creating space shuttles out of pattern blocks.  They learned a new song called "Countdown to Blast Off" and blasted off each day to learn about something in our solar system.  They studied the moon, the stars, the sun, and the various planets.  They made rocket launchers out of straws and paper rockets.  We landed safely back in Keytesville on Friday, April 6 after spending four days in space.  Each student chose a planet to paint and write about to end the unit.
