Look What We’re Learning
We had four guest readers this week that came to read Dr. Seuss books to the elementary students each morning. Our letter next week will be Zz and we will be working on identifying beginning sounds in words. In math we will be learning teen numbers. We will be writing/drawing in our journals each morning and telling stories about our entries. Your child’s 3rd quarter report card is in tonight’s folder, and it is for you to keep at home.

Preparing for Kindergarten Screening
Kindergarten screening is approaching quickly for Keytesville students. I will be the one doing the screenings, and if your child is already enrolled in Tiger Cubs, you do not need to schedule an appointment. All of the necessary paperwork will be sent home, but most of the information will automatically transfer over on your child’s school records. I am not sure what screening tool other districts use, but I do know that one important part of any kindergarten assessment is personal information. Your child will be asked to say their full name, age, birthdate, address, and telephone number. Please practice these things at home in preparation for your child’s assessment as these items are worth several points on the screening.
Snack Schedule 3/12-16/18
Monday - Clint Tuesday – Archer Wednesday – Jase
Thursday – Luke Friday – Emma
Please do not send graham crackers or Goldfish as the kids are not eating them. We have had them a lot lately and they are burned out on them. They are asking for fruit snacks, cheese dippers, popcorn, pudding, and cookies if you are wanting ideas of what to send with your child.
