First grade students have been working hard on mastering their addition facts during Ninja Math each day.  Students practice saying their math facts and do a ninja move like karate chop or left kick as they say the answer.  After we practice students then get three minutes to try to answer as many facts as they can on their set.  Students start on set A and will work all the way to set Z, adding two new addition facts on each new set.  Along the way they will earn "belts" for every four sets that they pass, just like in karate.  After passing set Z students will become a Black Belt Addition Master!
